I’ve been really getting into Spinel recently and I love these blue specimens from Madagascar. Many Rubies and Sapphires through history turned out to be Spinel. The famous Black Prince’s Ruby in the British Imperial State Crown and the Timur Ruby are both actually Spinels.
When you look at the rich saturation combined with the triangular growth in this Blue Spinel, it’s easy to see where the confusion comes in.
I find these to be gently energizing yet calming and helpful with mental stamina, particularly when it comes to sustaining psychic headspace and dream states. These stones contain the blue of the deep, wild, open ocean.
