Known as the Sorcerer’s Stone, Nuummite is one of the oldest stones on Earth, dating back to about 3 billion years. It’s rare and almost exclusively found in Greenland.
Coppernite, while still uncommon, is more widely found in India and is often confused with, and unscrupulously sold as, Nuummite. The two are distinct stones with similarities in appearances. Nuummite is metamorphic with amphibole inclusions that create long flashy striations whereas Coppernite contains amphibole which appear as blocky flecks of shiny copper colored flecks. Nuummite is magnetic, Coppernite isn’t.
While physically different, the two do share similar energetic signatures. Nuummite is a powerhouse for magic. Coppernite is potent when compared to most other stones, but not quite as focused as Nuummite. This might be preferential for many people as Nuummite can feel overwhelming if not tuned to it.
