Fossilized Whale Vertebrae - Hand Polished

Wow, these slabs are amazing. I was fortunate enough to come into a small lot of these from someone’s collection that was dated 1983. These are solid and full of gorgeous patterns. If you wanted to cut into them to make a cabochon I wouldn’t blame you.

Whales keep the Earth’s wisdom and essentially hold the planet together, and these slabs can connect you to ancient forebears.

The only unfortunate thing is whoever cut these originally left some really deep scratches in them. I got most of them out as I polished, but had to made a judgement call at some point to leave some of them in because it would take out too much of the material to completely remove them. They’re minor scratches now and feel completely smooth, but wanted to point them out.
