Smoky Morion Rutile Quartz with Aegerine & Feldspar (Malawi)

$190.00

What a stellar ‘kitchen sink’ piece. Malawi is one of my favorite regions for Smoky Quartz and this piece exemplifies why. I might keep this one, but I took two pieces for myself out of this Malawi collection already and I can’t justify hoarding more - OR CAN I? Buy it before I change my mind.

Gorgeous Rutile pierces through the points. Rutile in darker Smoky Quartz often isn’t visible unless backlit, but this piece has it up front and center in places.

The tips are translucent but the rest is opaque, a great example of natural black, or Morion, quartz.

The matrix it’s growing out of is a shiny Feldspar, with Aegerine and Smoky Quartz scattered throughout.

A collector’s piece and a power ally to hold a space down for ritual.

About Morion Quartz:

When Smoky Quartz is irradiated, it gets darker and more opaque. Often this is done “artificially” by people, but when it occurs naturally it is known as Morion Quartz aka natural Black Quartz. Morion Quartz is not super common as the conditions have to be right for the irradiation to occur.

Morion Quartz aids in self-discovery and transitions of all sorts. It excels in clearing away unwanted energy while promoting the energy you do want. I find it also aids in psychic development and flow while maintaining the grounding energy of Smoky Quartz. It’s also excellent at anchoring a grid.

If you like working with Smoky Quartz, having a piece of Morion Quartz in your collection will kick your work up a notch. It’s about as perfect as a stone ally one can have in these times.
