Purpurite is notoriously hard to polish; it turns black and loses its iridescent purple sheen. Most manufacturers get around this by impregnating Purpurite with resin to stabilize it so it keeps its color.
However, these towers are all natural and resin-free, while keeping their natural brilliance intact. You can bet I have a couple of these in my private collection.
