Rhodochrosite is a pink flower in crystal form. As a sedimentary rock it forms layers that result in patterns ranging from carnation-like arrangements to bacon-esque striations.

This is a stone of inner child work, and in that way it can also be looked at as a stone of forgiveness, particularly self-forgiveness. Work with it and it may teach you compassion and confidence in new ways.

This massive piece is soooooo interesting, it has fluorite, pyrite, calcite, and other minerals (I’m not sure what they are) within the matrix, alongside some very gemmy Rhodochrosite. I’m tempted to keep it and carve it, but until I decide to do that it’s up for grabs.

Rhodochrosite is a relatively rare mineral and harder to mine intact as it is a softer stone. A wonderful stone to have in your collection for your self-work.
