Sahara Desert Jasper Sphere
Sahara Desert Jasper was discovered in the early 2000s in the Sahara Desert and thought to have formed from hot undersea mudflows. It’s a form of Picture Jasper and primarily found in Egypt, although this sphere is from Morocco.
There’s an ancient feel to it, and a liveliness that’s not unlike Mookaite. It’s a calming stone, yet fiery as well.
These spheres have a matte finish to them and feel almost hand formed. Very cool, unique, and affordable pieces to work with and display.
