I started carving this as part of my Rhodonite Companion series, but the more I worked on it the more I realized how different it was.
First, it has a crown of Pyrite that gleams in the light.
Second, it GLOWS under UV light. Which I absolutely wasn’t expecting with this stone, and I discovered it completely by accident. Check out the picture to see it glow a bright orange up top.
I’m not entirely sure which mineral is causing the UV reaction. From what I can telll, based on the stones Peruvian origin, it is likely either Calcite or Barite.
Rhodonite is my overall favorite heart stone. It’s a stone that focuses on growing your self-esteem, allowing you to hold better space for relationships with yourself and others.
This showoff is pocket-friendly, freestanding, and feels really nice in the hand. I left a small little rough spot on one side to create a little ‘worry’ groove to run your thumb over when holding it.
The Pyrite in it adds a Mars component to it, which makes this a hot and heavy stone when you combine the Venus and Mars aspects. And I mean literally hot. When I was taking pictures I left this in the sun for 30 minutes and it got too hot to touch with my bare-hands. That’s potent.
This Rhodonite is pretty exceptional and TBH I was going to keep it for myself. I still might keep it, but I thought I’d give you a chance to claim it if you want. Just don’t wait too long to do so…
