Tanzanite

Tanzanite is one of the rarest gemstones in the world; approximately 1,000 times rarer than Diamonds.

It is only found in a small 7 kilometer area in the Moreland Hills near Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. It’s in extremely limited supply and is a variety of the mineral Zoisite, along with the pink Thulite and green variety found with Rubies.

There are many things that make Tanzanite cool, but one of the big ones is that it’s trichroic, meaning 3 different colors can be seen depending on the angle the stone is viewed from: Blue, Violet, Pink.

It’s often heat-treated to bring out more vibrancy in color. These pieces are not heat treated which actually makes them even more of a rare find as the majority of what’s out there has been treated.

If you’re a collector, you absolutely want a piece of Tanzanite in your collection. If you work in healing, energy, or psychic stuff (like moi) this is one of the top stones you can have in your possession. It strengthens the subtle bodies and the chakra points, helps develop (not just awaken) psychic and meditation abilities, and synchronizes the heart and mind for loving-kindness.

I’ve been looking for Tanzanite for personal use for a while. These pieces are small, but really lovely and would make great jewelry pieces if you make jewelry. Don’t pass these up, I don’t know when I can get more.
